Qiantan festival pickup: recheck the controls after 20:30

Official scope
A Shanghai government notice dated October 2, 2026 states that a listed set of roads around the festival closes in both directions to all vehicles from 20:30 to 22:30 daily on October 3–5. Consult the original for road boundaries; this does not mean every road in Qiantan is closed.
Do not reuse the arrival point blindly
Editorial advice: arrival and departure may fall under different controls. Recheck even if a car reached the location earlier. Send the organiser’s exit information to the car team and agree a permitted stopping place outside the affected area. A spectator exit is not automatically a vehicle entrance.
20:30 does not mean all roads reopen
The notice separates daytime and evening arrangements. The end of a daytime restriction is not a general reopening. Police may adjust measures on site. Follow directions and keep companions together while finding the agreed point.
Nominate a group contact
For Suzhou, Wuxi or Xitang returns, confirm passengers, bags, final addresses and stop order. One person should gather location updates. Allow for walking from the venue rather than promising to board as soon as the performance ends.
Separate airport commitments
If a vehicle also serves an airport journey, confirm feasibility for each leg. Reconfirm availability, hours and costs before extending waiting or moving the meeting point. No live congestion assessment or clear detour is promised.
Verification
