The Shanghai government English luggage-storage guide labels its body update as 3 July 2026. It describes checking metro lockers through Metro大都会 and says storage is available during station operating hours. The URL date differs from the body update; this is not presented as a new service today.
Compare retrieval detours
Ask your hotel whether storage is available and how collection works. For lockers, check size, availability, fees and collection times. Consider the return detour as well as distance from attractions. These are planning suggestions, not storage guarantees.
Confirm vehicle capacity
If taking luggage in a charter, send bag dimensions, counts and passenger numbers. Confirm the assigned vehicle and seating layout can accommodate them. Do not assume drivers provide valuables custody. Keep passports, medicines and valuables with you.
Include collection in the schedule
